ROCKWELL, Iowa – Students at West Fork Middle School got a chance to show off their roller coasters Thursday to younger students. The coasters are made of card stock and were built to display Newton’s three laws of motion.
They spent about two weeks constructing the creations and today they used marbles to demonstrate inertia, acceleration and action and reaction.
“It was kind of complicated but kind of not,” eighth grader Noah Maske said. “It just took a lot of tape and time.”
Maske says it made him more interested in science and now he’s eager to learn more.
