AUSTIN, Minn- Seniors participated in a technology training class Thursday at Mower County Senior Center.
Sean Mitchell, AT&T store manager in Rochester, said the company wanted the class to help people, like baby boomers, bridge the gap on technology information, especially during the holiday season.
“We definitely want people to help connect with their families, their loved ones,” said Mitchell. “A lot of people don’t know how to use messaging.”
Gwen Mortensen of Austin said she participated in the class to learn the various things she can do with her iPad and iPhone. “To stay up with what you can with technology with this day and age, because it’s going in that direction.”
Mortensen said one thing she wanted to learn was adding contacts to her iPad phone book.
“I didn’t know how to do it before,” said Mortensen. “It’s not as hard as you think it is.”
