ROCHESTER, Minn. – A woman accused of a crime of passion pleads guilty to reckless driving.
36-year-old Erin Joy Daniels of Rochester was arrested on September 13. Rochester police say Daniels saw her ex-fiancé with a new woman. She then tried to hit one of her ex-fiancé’s friends with her vehicle, but wound up backing into and damaging a window at the new girlfriend’s home.
Daniels was originally charged with 2nd degree assault, 1st degree damage to property and 1st degree criminal damage, but those charges were dismissed.
She has been sentenced to one year of supervised probation and must do 60 hours of community service or pay a $600 fine.
