ST. PAUL, Minn. – Two people from Rochester were hurt in separate auto accidents over the weekend.

The first happened around 5:13 am Saturday in Wabasha County.  The Minnesota State Patrol says 26-year-old Michael B. Matzke of Rochester suffered a non-life threatening injury when a northbound car on County Road 2 left the roadway and hit a sign.

The second occurred at about 9:22 am Sunday in Winona County.  21-year-old Jacqueline M. Pelowski of Winona was driving an SUV east on US Highway 14 when she veered into the guardrail west of Stockton.  When the guardrail ended, the SUV continued down a steep embankment.  Pelowski and a passenger, 21-year-old Pascale M. Laporta of Rochester, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
