AUSTIN, Minn.- For the past week, students at Woodson Kindergarten Center have been getting ready.
Tuesday, they took part in their own annual Thanksgiving Feast and on the menu was their own homemade cornbread, popcorn and honey butter.
Students were able to learn more about the first Thanksgiving and share with each other what they are thankful for.
“It’s incredible to take the time to really listen to our five and six year old and what they are thankful for is not stuff like toys or not technology,” said Jessica Cabeen, Principal at Woodson Kindergarten Center. “It’s their siblings, their house, their clothing and their family.”
They also made their own costumes to wear during the feast. Some dressed up as pilgrims, while others dressed like Indians.
