Albert Lea Police search for suspect after attempted armed robbery


ALBERT LEA, Minn. – Albert Lea Police are searching for a suspect after an attempted armed robbery. According to the police department, the call came in at 7:06 Wednesday night. Employees say a male entered Shoe Sensation on Bridge Avenue, displayed a black colored firearm and demanded money. Employees tell police the suspect left on foot a short time later with no money.

ALPD and the Freeborn County Sheriff’s office set up a perimeter and utilized their k-9 unit to track down the suspect but were unsuccessful. He is described as a 5’10” white male, medium build, wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans and a face mask.
