ST. PAUL, Minn. – Separate Wednesday morning accidents injured three people in Olmsted County.
Both happened in the westbound lanes of Interstate 90. In the first, 22-year-old Robert K. Connors of Winona lost control of his car around 7:34 am. He crossed in front of a pickup truck and caused a collision. Connors and a passenger, 24-year-old Patricia P. Connors of Winona, suffered non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the pickup, 33-year-old Brian J. Dohrn of Utica, was not harmed.
The second took place at about 8:50 am in the Marion Rest Area. 69-year-old James P. Ganz of German Valley, Illinois, was driving a car into the rest area and lost control, striking a legally parked Freightliner truck. A passenger in Ganz’ vehicle, 65-year-old Janelle Ganz of German Valley, IL, suffered a non-life threatening injury and was the only one hurt in the accident.
The Minnesota State Patrol says road conditions were icy in both incidents.
