ROCHESTER, Minn. – Just months after it was installed at the government center, officials are telling us the weapons screening system seems to be working.
In the six months it’s been open, the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says they’ve screened thousands of people wanting to go to the upper levels of the building. Out of all those people, they have only taken 300 items or so that are not allowed. Those can include gun ammo, knives, and even pepper spray. Authorities are happy with the results so far and add the public is working great with them during this process.
