Steven Wendel, raises cattle in Mason City. He currently has over 130 cows and says luckily the beef prices have been good for several years and they have not been impacted by it.
“We just have alot of herd and we do the same thing pretty much every year and we don’t have a lot of money invested into buying a replacement to feed out, so for us personally you know we don’t get hit so hard.”
According to the report. Iowa is 8th in the United States for the largest turkey producing state, while Minnesota remains number one.
