KIMT News 3 – This past Thanksgiving weekend left two people dead and one seriously injured.
Even with law enforcement reminding drivers to be alert on Nov. 25, a Hampton woman was killed in an accident north of Rockwell. Another car crossed the center line on Highway 65, hitting 22-year-old Griselda Tello. In Rochester, one person was killed earlier that day.
Sgt. Dana Knutson with Iowa State Patrol says it’s unfortunate for families when this happens.
“Knowing with the holidays coming, the holiday that it happened, the upcoming Christmas and New Year’s, everybody kind of remembers that this is something they’ll have to remember every year when this holiday comes around,” Knutson said.
Another North Iowa man was seriously injured while driving on the Avenue of the Saints Saturday. The car rolled several times due to slippery road conditions, Iowa State Patrol says.
