MASON CITY, Iowa – Two men are behind bars for allegedly threatening someone with a weapon.
18-year-old Jack David Hovenga of Mason City and 36-year-old Brady Joe Hunt of Hampton are facing charges of intimidation with a dangerous weapon and harassment for an incident that allegedly happened around 8:30 am Monday, right in front of the KIMT building in Mason City.
Police say the weapon turned out to be a pellet gun.
Hovenga is also facing a charge of possession of contraband in a correctional institute. Authorities say they found methamphetamine on his person when he was booking into the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
Hovenga is being held on $5,000 bond and Hunt is being held on $7,000 bond.
