Minnesota teen reports being pulled over by man impersonating police

HIGH FOREST TOWNSHIP, Minn. – The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a 17-year-old girl reported being pulled over by a man possibly impersonating an officer.

It happened around 1 p.m. Sunday on County Road 6 and County Road 8 SW. The teen said the car was dark and had a light bar on top that flashed when she was pulled over. The driver got out and spoke to the girl in Spanish, but she said it didn’t sound authentic.

The teen described the man as in his 40s, about 6 feet tall and chubby with dark hair and stubble. She also noticed a scar on his forehead that had an irregular shape. He was reportedly wearing a navy-colored police uniform and it didn’t appear that he had any weapons on him.

The man never told the teen why he pulled her over. He asked for an ID and proof of insurance, came back with it and never gave her a ticket or said she did anything wrong.

The investigation is ongoing.
