ROCHESTER, Minn. – A year into having body cameras on police officers in Rochester, authorities say the feedback has been mostly positive.
Chief Roger Peterson tell us all officers on the street now wear the devices. He says there are numerous upsides to the program, including a lot more evidence and usually you get to see what exactly took place during an incident with a suspect. However, there are some drawbacks including that the camera might catch something the officer doesn’t see.
Peterson says they will continue to look at ways to improve the system.
