Rochester police investigating attempted burglary


ROCHESTER, Minn. – Rochester police are investigating after a woman reported an attempted burglary on Wednesday where the suspects got away.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of 15th St. SE. A woman was home sick in the downstairs bedroom and heard her dog barking. When she got upstairs, she realized it was barking at a closed door that’s usually never shut.

When she opened it, she saw two white men around 16 to 18 years old. She says one of them had bleach blonde hair. She told police one of them had a bat that was taken from her garage.

She called police, but the suspects ran off and weren’t caught. The investigation is ongoing.
