Arrests made in shots fired at Austin apartment complex

AUSTIN, Minn. – Two men have been arrested for the shots fired at Mandolin Place Apartments on November 13.

22-year-old Romario Louis Luke and 21-year-old Roberto Cecelio Aleman III are facing charges of 2nd degree assault with a dangerous weapon.  They’re suspected of being the ones who fired 9 mm handguns in the parking lot of Mandolin Place, leaving bullets holes in a car and the siding of the building.

The Austin Police Department says the investigation is ongoing and has not released any information on why those shots were fired.

Luke had already been arrested for a drug bust on November 23.  He is accused of having over 100 grams of cocaine in his possession.

Aleman was picked up after a traffic stop early Friday in the 100 block of 12th Street SE.  Police say about half a gram of methamphetamine was found in the door next to Aleman’s seat.
