MASON CITY, Iowa- Snow removal workers in North Iowa and Southern Minnesota were busy for the first time this season taking care of snow Sunday.
A+ Lawncare and Lanscape owner Josh Ressler said he was able to get his equipment set up for the snowy weather and finally put his trucks, shovels and salt to use.
There were several cars that spun out into the ditch today because of the snow and ice. Ressler suggested drivers to be more careful than usual when driving to a destination.
“If you don’t have to leave your house on a Sunday, and we get a snow storm, I don’t recommend leaving until you have to,” said Ressler. “And watch out for people plowing and the city and county plowing as well.”
Ressler recommend leaving to get to your destination earlier when the roads are icy or snowy, and allow more time to come to a stop.
