ROCHESTER, Minn. – Although it may not feel like it’s around the corner, the future of a local park is getting a major boost.
Recently the Rochester Parks and Recreation Department announced they would be getting a $1.5 million grant for their upgrades to Cascade Park. That park is not too far from downtown and is one of only a couple to have a beach area for residents. We are told the money, along with local funds, will go to adding shelters and even gardens in the area. As for when the work will start, we are told that could be in the fall of 2017.
