ROCHESTER, Minn. – A local hospital is continuing their success in getting not only community members but co-workers as well to sign up to become donors.
On Monday a special ceremony was held at Olmsted Medical Center so they could get their third Gold Hospital Award in a row from the US Department of Health and Human Services. It honors those who go above and beyond to get people to sign up to be organ, tissue, and eye donors. Just one donor can help heal or save 60 lives. Those at OMC tell us this award means a lot to them and that they also try and make the topic fun by having a flash mob for example.
