CHARLES CITY, Iowa – A two-vehicle accident caused significant damage Monday morning.
The Charles City Police Department says it happened just after 8 am on Brantingham Bridge. 42-year-old Melinda Scribner of Nashua lost control of her vehicle and struck the car driven by 16-year-old Britney Holthaus of Plainfield.
The collision caused an estimated $12,000 in damage but no injuries were reported at the scene.
Scribner was cited for failure to maintain control and driving with a suspended license.
