ORONOCO, Minn. – Authorities say a barn fire, which is suspected to have been caused by a warming pad in a chicken coop, caused about $10,000 in damage on Tuesday evening.

Olmsted County officials say it happened around 4 p.m. at 340 Second Ave. NE in Oronoco. They don’t believe there’s any suspicious nature to it and say signs point to the cause being a warming pad in a chicken coop.

The damage is currently estimated at $10,000.
