CHARLES CITY, Iowa – The Floyd County Community Foundation is giving over $60,000 in scholarships to four college students from North Iowa.
Charles City High School graduate Shae Etherington has been awarded the Pat Adams Scholarship. She is studying communication disorders and speech pathology at the University of Northern Iowa.
The Charles City Noon Kiwanis Scholarship is going to Megan Roethler, another graduate of Charles City High School. She is also attending UNI and is majoring in art.
Rockford High School graduates Holly Portis and Adam Staudt have been given the Huisman Family Scholarship. Both are attending Iowa State University. Portis is studying animal ecology and Staudt is majoring in agricultural studies.
