Corn and Soybean Clinic


MASON CITY, Iowa – Local farmers got an opportunity to learn some valuable information that will help them in the upcoming next year.

The Cerro Gordo County Extension and Outreach Program hosted the Annual Corn and Soybean Clinic at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City.

Elwynn Taylor, ISU extension crop climatologist kicked off the event with his Weather Forecast for the 2017 Growing Season.

“And the more we know about it the weather and the chance of something happening we don’t just say it might be a storm we say it’s a 50% chance of a storm that will bring a flood or 25% chance if you know the numbers you can manage the risks.”

Attendees were also able to complete a pesticide re-certification.
