KIMT News 3 – Last week, the Iowa State Board of Education sent out emails looking for feedback from educators and Iowa residents on the state’s standardized history program.
Those with Clear Lake Schools say the history standard hasn’t been looked at in nearly a decade and want to make sure all subjects are changing at the same pace.
“I think it’s a good thing,” says Clear Lake Superintendent Doug Gee. “I think any time you take a look at looking at challenging your kids to think critically and relate to real world experiences, that’s always good.”
There is not a set date for a community hearing for folks to voice their opinions.
