Two injured in Saturday van rollover

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Two people were hurt in a rollover accident in Mower County.

The Minnesota State Patrol says it happened around 7 pm Saturday on Interstate 90, near mile marker 186.  A semi passed the westbound van driven by 72-year-old Harvey S. Gunderson of Tucson, Arizona, blowing snow into the windshield of the van.  Gunderson drove off the highway and rolled in the ditch.  The van ended up on its side.

Two passengers, 72-year-old Carol S. Gunderson of Tucson, AZ, and 43-year-old Jason L. Gunderson of Fairchild, Wisconsin, were transported to the hospital with what were believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Rose Creek Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance assisted at the scene.
