ROCHESTER, Minn. – A man accused of pulling a knife on someone is pleading not guilty.
Police say the incident happened at an apartment building on North Broadway Avenue when 51-year-old Kurt Wayne Meiners of Rochester took a knife, held it above his head and threatened to kill another man.
Meiners allegedly followed the man down a hallway and continued to make threats. Two other men in the hallway at the time reportedly got video of it on their cellphones.
On Tuesday, Meiners entered not guilty pleas in Olmsted County District Court to 2nd degree assault, threats of violence, stalking and 5th degree assault. His trial is set for March 13.
