PLAINVIEW, Minn. – A fire that broke out at an appliance store on Plainview’s Main Street on Monday night is under investigation.
Fire officials say the blaze started shortly before 11:30 p.m. A fireman who was hosing off one of his shops first saw smoke coming out of the roof of a downtown building.
The appliance store was lost in the fire and a pizza shop next door also suffered water damage, but no one was hurt.
The total damage is estimated at $200,000 and the investigation into the cause is ongoing. The state fire marshal is on scene Tuesday.
