AUSTIN, Minn.- The Austin Bruins are teaching kids the importance of staying healthy by hosting their “Healthy Habits Day.”
Students from Ellis Middle School, Austin High School and some from Grand Meadow were able to watch the Bruins take on the Brookings Blizzards.
These students who attended were able to learn more about the importance of a healthy lifestyle. During each intermission, folks would talk about the importance of brushing your teeth, working out and eating healthy.
“It really helps our kids to understand that to be a great athlete you have to take good care of your body whether that’s eating right or exercising,” said Jason Senne, Principal at Ellis Middle School. “This is a great opportunity for us.”
Students were also able to get a roster of the athletes and a ticket to another one of their home games for free.
