Prison sentence in southern Minnesota drug death

AUSTIN, Minn. – Providing the drugs in a fatal Mower County overdose is sending a man to prison.

24-year-old Ryan Allen Anderson was sentenced Thursday to 48 months behind bars, with credit for 287 days already served.  Anderson entered a guilty plea to 2nd degree manslaughter for an incident in Austin in December, 2015.

Tyler Burkey died of a heroin overdose and authorities say he got the drug from Anderson, who was originally charged with 3rd degree murder.
