Southeastern Minnesota man gets prison for meth possession

ROCHESTER, Minn. – Methamphetamine is sending a Wabasha man to state prison for just over 5 years.

33-year-old Matthew Joseph Hines was sentenced Monday in Olmsted County District Court.  He received 64 months, with credit for 81 days already served, for pleading guilty to 1st degree controlled substance crime.

Hines was arrested on September 20 after Rochester police say they saw him riding a stolen motorcycle.  He had more than 65 grams of meth in his pockets when apprehended.
