Pig farm fire in Hartland

HARTLAND, Minn. – A fire has broken out a hog farm in Hartland.

According to a reporter on scene, the building is a total loss and at least 4,000 pigs have been killed. Seven different departments responded to the scene. The call came in just before 3 p.m. on Saturday to a farm on the 71000 block of 300th Street. No one else was injured.

The cause is under investigation. The State Fire Marshall’s office will be handling the investigation.
